AUGUST 17, 2011 - Chapter of Mats:

St. John Neumann Fraternity will celebrate the Chapter of Mats at our Lady of the Angels Convent in Aston, PA. This is an annual event for the Fraternity and they invite all members of the Region who are able to attend.

MAY 22, 2011 - SEVENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY, ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST FRATERNITY!

On May 22, 2011, St. John the Evangelist Fraetrnity will CELEBRATE its 75TH ANNIVERSARY. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered at St. John the Evangeslist Church, 13th and Market Streets, Philadelphia, PA, followed by a small reception.

The Fraternity was established March 19, 1936, at St. Joseph's Orphanage and later moved to St. John's Church in Center City Philadelphia. From this Fraternity has come many religious vocations and manhy servants of the Province/Region including two International representatives and a National Minister. The Fraternity has as its members CIA/FBI Agents, Politicians, Doctors, Nurses, Authors, Teachers, Psychologists, Professors, Clerks, Business Owners, Civil Servants, and Social Workers. It's Ministries include: Pace e Bene Community; hospice work; visiting nursing homes; visiting hospitals; Rosary making for missions, hospitals and prisons. The Fraternity has been blessed with good Franciscans and good leaders.

APRIL 17, 2011 - CHAPTER OF ELECTIONS - HOLY DORMITON/ST. CLARE FRATERNITY - On a beautiful sunny Sunday, Holy Dormition/St. Clare Fratetrnity celebrated their Chapter of Elections. We are grateful to Ann Cameron, SFO, Kathy Serafin, SFO, Denise Msloski, SFO, Bob Yeck, SFO, Anna Gergel, SFO, Theresa Panchison, SFO and Joan Pesta, SFO, for their willingness to serve and promise them our prayers as they begin their term of service to their Fraternity. We are also most grateful to Fr. Anthony Skurla, OFM, who has served as Spiritual Assistant to the Fraternity for many years. May the Fraternity be blessed with his assistance for many years to come!

AUGUST 29, 2010 - ST. JOSEPH'S FRATERNITY, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA - St. Joseph's Fraternity celebrated the Profession of Maureen Engle, SFO, at a lovely Profession Mass celebrated by Fr. Laurien Janicki, OFM at St. Joseph's Seminary in Wilkes-Barre. As you can see from the photo that follows, Maureen is beaming as are here sisters and brothers in Fraternity. We welcome Maureen and assure her of our prayers on her continued journey to follow the footsteps of Jesus by following in the footsteps of St. Francis. Blessings, Maureen.

AUGUST 8, 2010 - CHAPTER OF ELECTIONS - Poverello Fraternity, Philadelphia, PA

We began with a sparse slate. Bro. Larry reminded all present to be attentive to the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. The breath of the Holy Spirit blew wildly through the assembly, and we ended with the election of a wonderful Council, with many members of the Fraternity courageously saying "yes" to nomination to the various positions. Following is a photograph of the newly-elected Council. We assure them of our prayers as they begin their term of service to their sisters and brothers in Fraternity.

JUNE 19, 2010 - St. Bonaventure Fraternity, Fairless Hills, PA

MAY 2, 2010 - Immaculate Conception Fraternity, Norristown, PA

Immaculate Conception Fraternity celebrated its Chapter of Elections today. The results are as follows: Minister - Jerry L. Yanchek, SFO; Vice-Minister - Thomas J. Newell, SFO; Formation Director - Rose Marie Bondi, SFO; Secretary - Claire Rose DeMaria, SFO; Treasurer - Helene Gillogly, SFO; and Councillor-at-Large - Phyllis Losinno, SFO. The camera was ready, and a photo follows.

MAY 23, 2010 - St. John the Evangelist Fraternity held their Chapter of Elections at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter Claver Church in Philadelphia. Vince Iezzi, SFO was re-elected Minister; Bob Bueding, SFO will serve as Vice-Minister; Liz Bueding, SFO, was elected Formation Director; Venus Murphy, SFO, will serve as Secretary; Betty Scully, SFO was re-elected Treasuer; and Anne Marie DiCesare, SFO and Andrew Mangravetti, SFO, were elected Councillors-at-Large. A photograph was take by the RM on her cell phone. Once she figures out how to transfer it to the website, you'll see their sweet, smiling faces.

APRIL 25, 2010 - Spirit of St. Francis Fraternty

Our sisters and brothers of Spirit of St. Francis Fraternity celebrated their Chapter of Elections today. Sue Campos, SFO, was re-elected Fraternity Minister, Kam Hujber, SFO, was elected Vice-Minister, Angela Torino, SFO, was elected Formation Director, Madge Peroni, SFO, was re-elected Secretary, Jean Fell, SFO, was re-elected Treasurer and Jill Persichilli, SFO, was elected Councillor-at-Large. A photograph of the newly-elected Council would have been provided had the presider not left the camera she brought with her in her purse. Once a photo is available, it will be posted.

MARCH 21, 2010 - Living Word Fraternity
